Business Development Manager

İlkiz holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. Her professional journey began with work on environmental legislation, leading to a distinguished career in international development. With nearly 20 years of experience, İlkiz is the Business Development Manager at i-APS. In this role, she manages the entire workflow process and teams, conducting feasibility analyses to identify viable projects and engaging in technical design to implement cost-saving solutions. İlkiz spearheads the entire project proposal process for i-APS Global and its field offices and affiliates, from researching and analyzing requests for proposals to shortlisting opportunities, establishing tracking systems, creating proposal templates, and preparing comprehensive submission packages. Her responsibilities encompass strategy facilitation, cost-saving discussions, and human resources management for proposals. Notably, İlkiz serves as a primary point of contact for several IDIQ and Long-Term Agreements with key UN agencies, including UNICEF, UNHCR, WFP, and OCHA.


Prior to joining i-APS, İlkiz was a Business Development Manager at DAI, a global development company. During her four-year tenure, she led and supported the business development process for numerous UN and EU-funded projects and programs in areas such as M&E, humanitarian work, governance, and broader development. This experience cultivated her strong expertise in both humanitarian and development settings, as well as in sectors like education, employment, migration, food security, and health.


Earlier in her career, İlkiz served as a Business Development Specialist at Çınar Engineering, a prominent environmental consultancy in Türkiye, where she focused on proposal preparation. She also contributed to the implementation of projects related to river basin management, water treatment, and water quality, among other initiatives.


İlkiz's diverse professional background includes roles as a Chemical Engineer, Corporate Relations Specialist, Infrastructure Enterprises Assistant Manager, Public Relations Associate, and Sales Engineer across various industries. These experiences have provided her with valuable and multifaceted skills and knowledge in environmental engineering, water quality, wastewater treatment plants, chemical engineering, medical practice, and public relations.
