Director, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
Erik is an experienced humanitarian and development sector professional with over 13 years of overseas work experience in countries in Africa, Asia, the MENA region and central-America. Starting his career as a consultant for the Dutch embassy in Sudan during the Darfur crisis, he then worked for multiple INGO’s as well as the United Nations World Food Programme, implementing programmes in a wide range of sectors: from health & nutrition programmes in (South-) Sudan to micro hydro-power in Pakistan, from Disaster Risk Reduction programmes in the Philippines to Cash-based interventions in Turkey. During his career, Erik worked in logistics, programmatic and managerial functions, based in the field as well in national capitals. As such he has a broad and comprehensive understanding of all aspects of programme development and implementation, which is the area he has been working in for the last 3 years. At i-APS Erik is currently working on various TPM, evaluation and learning programs in Syria, Yemen, Syria and Turkey and supporting global program development efforts.
