Client: IRCS Time implementation:
📅 28-29 Jan, 2018 Methodology:
1- Participants: program, operation, international relation, admin, finance, logistic, engineering, and media departments Senior and mid-level staff.
2- Implementation: deep and transparent discussion was conducted to review project, activities, success, and failure during the last 3 years of IRCS action.
Very important notes and comments were identified and documented for all aspect of program/projects from planning to closing phases. The participant’s interaction was very good and no pass took place during the discussion, where all have had noticeable input and enriched the discussion with their comments and thoughts.
Recommendations and lessons learned have been developed and summarized as the end product of the workshop as the following: Recommendations: IRCS has existence capacity to respond to emergency and crisis situation IRCS has constant leadership in the development and strategic planning.
Paid more efforts on building a partnership with international donors and international NGOs for fundraising and information sharing.
Developed and rehabilitated the communication infrastructure and activated the electronic management of administration and finance processes.
Giving more administration authorities and granting budget spend authorities to program officers and head of departments to reduce the time needed to obtain approval during the implementation of projects.
The need for developing a clear and professional organizational structure and job description for IRCS departments/staff that ensure a smooth fluence of instructions and commands and prevent overlapping of authorities and responsibilities among the departments.
Lessons learned: applying more consideration to pre-assessment of communities needs and the after action assessment for the completed program/projects.
The need for providing health insurance for IRCS volunteers. The importance to have central role of community consultation and participation in programs/projects.
Having a constant and continue staff/departments meeting for information sharing and coordination of work.
